Since we've settled the whole floor issue, the time has come to think about what we want installed in the living room. We're kind of burnt out on real wood. It is so stressful if anything happens to it. I really don't want to live and die over my hardwood floor. I was talking to Erin yesterday and she introduced me to a new, popular procuct: Porcelain tile that looks like wood.

This site will give you an introduction to it. It is moisture, dent, fire and scratch resistant and you can clean it with several different products, not just a hardwood cleaner. I'm pretty sold on the idea. Now just to get Adam in on it. . .

For the front two bedrooms, we've pretty much decided on carpet. It will be a softer and more kid-friendly option in there. We didn't want carpet in the living room because of Hans and his dirty paws and slobbery jowels. :-)
